Mercedes-Benz announced their lineup for this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed (June 26 and 29), and it includes the UK debut of Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo concept. The virtual concept will be static display, but visitors will be able to drive it on the Goodwood hill virtually.
The amazing Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo was designed for the Gran Turismo 6 video game, but it was met with such level of enthusiasm from the fans that some companies announced they are going to make replica bodies based on this car as a conversion kit for Mercedes SLS.
Other interesting features of Merc’s booth at the 2014 Goodwood FoS include the Oculus Rift experiences which allows the visitors to lap Silverstone virtually in the current F1 car, drift in an E63 AMG, or go up the Goodwood hill, all thanks to the special 360 degree footage being played through the virtual reality devices.
As for noteworthy cars, we will have Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes F1, W 125 and W 165 Silver Arrows, 300 SLS from 1957, 500 SL rally car from 1981, Mercedes C 9, Penske-Mercedes PC 23 IndyCar, 1998 CLK-LM, SLS AMG GT3 racer along with the DTM Mercedes AMG C-Class Coupe, SLS Black Series and A45 AMG.
