Mercedes has already dismissed the idea of an AMG version of the E-Class Coupe, saying it is not a commercially-viable proposition. They do have a point, what with the C63 Coupe being around. Still, one may wonder what would such a car look like.

Well, don’t wonder no longer, because the guys over at VirtuelCar have penned an imaginary E63 AMG Coupe. And it makes us wish Mercedes had made this car instead of the C63 Coupe in the first place. The C63 is nice, but the proportions of the E-Coupe makes a better AMG, does it not.

The designers have got their details spot on. The AMG treatment includes a rear diffuser with the firm’s signature tailpipes, a tail spoiler that is subtle, side skirts, and a set of AMG wheels – apparently from the SL63 in this case. The front-end is not shown here, but a revised bumper featuring some large LEDs and an air splitter can be expected.

So no, the Mercedes E63 AMG Coupe may never see the light of day. Still, nothing’s written in stone. The auto world is constantly changing. So if you like this car, don’t lose your hope just yet!
