Scuderia Toro Rosso STR 1 at Scuderia Toro Rosso STR7 F1 Car Unveiled

Scuderia Toro Rosso took the wraps off their new Formula 1 car, the STR7. The step nose looks particularly ugly on this one.

To set the car apart form the new Red Bull RB8, Toro Rosso didn’t use the part above the cone as an air intake. They just made it a complicated shape which must have some sort of aerodynamic purpose.

Apart from that, the car also has a modified front wing with limited movement according to the latest FIA rules. The new component is less flexible and heavier than before, and that cause troubles with weight distribution and all sort of things. The exhausts are also revised, and he electronics readjusted.

Toro Rosso’s drivers lineup is, well, we don’t know what it is because no one has ever heard of these guys! The SRT7 will be driven by the 22-year-old Australian Daniel Ricciard, and the 21-year-old French Jean Eric Vergne. Toro Rosso has gone for a young and energetic team, disregarding the importance of experience.
